Abortion is Terrible

I saw posted the other day an ad for a dinner being thrown by Planned Parenthood to celebrate the anniversary of Roe v. Wade (which is today). Seriously, they're having a birthday bash glorifying a Supreme Court decision that has stopped millions of birthdays from ever been celebrated. We don't hold celebrations commemorating the beginning of Jeffery Dahmer's killing spree, so why would anyone hold one for the biggest legalized killing spree in the history of our country? Abortion is obviously a touchy subject, but when broken down, is simply one person taking time to plan out and execute the death of another person, which sounds scarily like 1st-degree murder. I recognize that there are concerns in certain cases about the health of the mother and about the issues like rape and incest, but primarily abortion is used as retroactive birth control. There are a number of effective methods for birth control, but the bottom line is that you can't have a kid unless you have sex.

This is America, the land of opportunity, and it's a travesty that we the people are allowed to cut off the most basic opportunity a person can have, the opportunity to live and see what we can make of our lives. I'm most certainly pro-choice, I'm an advocate of people having the right to choose whether or not they have sex, and then living with the consequences.
